The SMASH 2000 Plus is reported by the company to add a drone mode to its targeting systems which allows the shooter to lock onto a target and will only allow a round to be discharged when it can be guarantee to hit the target. “The SMASH fire control system puts a precision anti-drone capability at the fingertips of its users, featuring built-in targeting algorithms that can track and hit even very small drones skimming along at high speed, at ranges of up to 120 metres, with the first shot,” says the company. The SMASH 2000 Plus has a built-in storage so video or images can be recorded for training or after-action reviews.
In June 2022 Roboteam, a provider of tactical ground robotic systems, and SMARTSHOOTER launched a tactical ground robot utilizing the SMASH technology “that ensures precise hit capabilities as well as air defence against drones (C-sUAS),” said a joint press release.
“A highly mobile, all-weather system capable of operating in any terrain, Roboteam’s Transportable Interoperable Ground Robot (TIGR) is a medium-sized, two-man carried UGV,” continued the release,” incorporating SMARTSHOOTER’s SMASH Hopper, a Light Remotely Controlled Weapon Station (LRCWS) with pin-point accurate lethal capability, the integrated solution enhances tactical forces’ lethality and survivability by providing them the ability to hit ground, aerial, moving or stationary targets from a safe stand-off distance. Lightweight, with high maneuverability and stair-climbing ability, this solution is ideal for urban scenarios, border control, subterranean and other tactical, operational missions.”
